Clare V. is looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk or Bookkeeper to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all vendors and creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner. This role also includes overseeing our Accounts Receivables (approximately 8 hrs/week). This job is full time role (5 days a week, Monday-Friday) and located in Los Angeles, California. This is an on-site position (remote need not apply).

Responsibilities:

  • Process bills and invoices, code to proper accounts and ensure in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts
  • Facilitate expense reimbursements for employees and staff
  • Perform day to day financial transactions and prepare custom reports as needed
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
  • Set up electronic payments with vendors where possible/needed
  • Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks and credit card transactions
  • Manages credit/terms application process with new accounts
  • Oversees collections of past due accounts
    Requirements: 
    • Proven working experience as an accounts payable clerk or bookkeeper for a minimum of 2 years
    • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
    • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
    • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
    • Proficiency in Quickbooks and in MS Office
    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred
