Full-Time UX Designer - Los Angeles, CA

General Overview
We are seeking a thoughtful and creative individual to join our Ecommerce team. The UX Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and executing projects such as site enhancements and new feature launches, as well as removing friction throughout the customer journey. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and interact with multiple departments including Ecommerce, Customer Service, Merchandising & Planning, Marketing, Creative and Senior Leadership teams. You live and breathe design and are as excited about type, color and layout as you are about responsive design and UX trends and best practices. This role upholds the visual integrity of the brand online and executes all aspects of experiential design – from ideation to final deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have a design related bachelor’s degree, an excellent eye for detail, be highly creative and open to feedback, as well as an understanding of HTML/CSS and enjoy discovering new tools in the field. The position requires the ability to multi-task, juggle various projects at once and have excellent time management skills. This role has the option of working a flexible mix of in-office & remote; candidates must be based in Los Angeles. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute all aspects of UX design - from ideation to execution while collaborating across E-Commerce & Creative teams for approval, and ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Design with the user journey in mind & an understanding of responsive and mobile-first design
  • Initiate new interactive concepts across web/mobile, where there is room for improvement
  • Articulate the best UI/UX solutions for customers through hi-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes and process flows
  • Independently conduct stakeholder interviews to establish and maintain a shared understanding of customer needs and opportunities
  • Inform project requirements and play a large role in defining the product roadmap for site improvements
  • Partner with ecommerce leadership and other stakeholders through the company to understand and help shape UX goals
  • Investigate the competitive landscape and stay informed of trends in eCommerce, new technologies, and interaction design
  • Ensure design deliverables are clear to ecommerce and development teams
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Additional duties as assigned


    • Bachelor's Degree (or 4 years relevant work experience), preferably in user experience design or interaction design in an e-commerce environment
    • 3-5 years working experience in Digital, UX/UI Design
    • Solid knowledge of industry design tools, i.e. Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Sketch
    • Strong understanding of layout, color and typography
    • Must be well versed in best practices for creating and optimizing web graphics
    • Strong knowledge of current design trends for web/mobile and cross device design
    • Skilled understanding of how customers browse, view and focus on graphics
    • Skilled knowledge of UX principles with demonstrated UX design skills and a strong portfolio
    • Experience with using site metrics to inform design decisions is preferred
    • Self-motivated team player with ability to work quickly, while multitasking and meeting deadlines
    • Ability to identify opportunities for applying new methods and concepts to customer problems
    • Strong understanding of surrounding retail environment
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a positive attitude
    • Understanding of JavaScript, CSS and HTML a plus
