"At Clare V., we are dedicated to working with brands that align with our core values of égalité, by encouraging diversity and promoting equality, opportunity, and justice for all.” – Clare Vivier
Égalité
We've been finding news ways to engage with the community around us. For women, by women, we aim to create something for everyone in pieces that bring happiness and beauty into people’s lives. From the products we create to the partnerships we forge, everything we do is filtered through the lens of égalité (equality), and we’ll always strive to be a force for good. We want to be inclusive, encourage diversity, promote equality, opportunity, and justice for all, and support and amplify the important voices around us.
We’re dedicated to ensuring that our policies and actions extend far beyond our doors, by implementing critical practices to show our solidarity and support in the fight for racial justice. Not only has our staff taken part in racial sensitivity & bias training, we committed to hiring BIPOC company-wide, setting a target of using BIPOC models in at least 25% of our imagery, and bringing new BIPOC brands into our stores and website.
In a year like no other, when we saw cutbacks and losses, we never strayed from our mission to give back. While we pivoted and adjusted to the changing climate, we found new ways to support and engage with the community around us, both locally in Los Angeles and on a global scale. True to one of Clare’s driving tenets of the brand—and something that’s more important to us now than ever before—we’ve proudly partnered with causes that we care strongly about in creating products that give back, so that we can give back as a company, too. Because of you and your purchases, we were able to give back over $100,000 last year in support of these causes, in addition to donating over 7,300 masks to frontline health care and essential workers to help keep them safe in this critical time. You helped us make a difference, paid it forward, and held us to account—and we were able to give back more money to more causes than we’d ever done before.
