Russet skirting is minimally treated cowhide with a matte finish, tanned in the USA. To reduce waste, all parts of the hide are used - slight variations in color and grain are characteristic of natural leather and will vary from item to item. The leather's inherent beauty is enhanced over time as it will naturally darken with use and exposure to light, acquiring a beautiful patina as it ages. Any marks or spots aquired on the leather should even out over time.
