Care Guide

Clare V. Jewelry

Plated jewelry develops a patina with time and use. How and how often you wear and care for your jewelry will determine how it wears over time. We love the natural, evolving beauty of these pieces and hope you will, too.

How To Care:

To preserve and enhance shine, regularly rub your jewelry with a soft cloth. Do not use treated cloths or jewelry cleaners as most are not formulated for costume jewelry and could damage plating.

Avoid direct contact between your jewelry and personal care products such as lotions, perfumes, and makeup as certain chemicals could damage or discolor the pieces.

Excess light, heat, and moisture can affect the quality of plating and stones. To avoid discoloration, remove your jewelry before using cleaning products, going to the gym, swimming, or showering. If your jewelry does get wet, gently dab the piece dry with an absorbent, non-pilling cloth.

Store and transport each piece of jewelry individually in its original pouch to protect the item and avoid scratches.
